About Craig Turner

Craig is our Livestock Business Planning Lead based in Brisbane and Charleville. He supports extensive livestock producers throughout Southern Queensland – focusing on South West Queensland, Maranoa, Darling Downs, South Burnett and Scenic Rim.

Craig has a lifetime of experience working with primary producers, having been involved in beef, sheep and wool production throughout Australia, including operating his own Hereford, Shorthorn and Corriedale studs. In addition to this, Craig has spent over 20 years in wool trading and processing both here and overseas, developing supply chains, risk management programs and advising on sheep and wool production and marketing.

Craig is a former Director of the Australian Wool Exchange (AWEX) and has held positions within national, state and regional committees covering natural resource management, drought management, disaster recovery, objective measurement in livestock and agricultural produce quality assurance.

For the past 15 years, Craig has worked in concessional lending, undertaking viability assessments across all major agricultural industries and assisting primary producers in accessing funds to improve their enterprises’ productivity and profitability. He is driven by his desire to build a stronger rural sector, by supporting producers to be more profitable and productive.

He holds a Diploma in Agriculture and Diploma in Rural Business Management.
