About Frances Harvey

Frances is our Farm Business Planning Officer based in Toowoomba. She supports all primary producers throughout Southern Queensland.

With over 12 years of experience working as a Rural Financial Counsellor, Frances brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. Having supported a broad range of primary producers across Southern Queensland, as well as NSW Northern Region, Frances has the experience and financial know-how to achieve measurable improvements in farm business finances.

She has assisted many primary producers to get their finances back under control, including helping them understand their farm business’s financial position, undertaking cash flow analysis, identifying refinancing options together with negotiating with their financial institution or other creditors.

In addition to being a Rural Financial Counsellor, Frances has worked in a range of other finance-related job roles. This has included bookkeeping and financial management roles, as well as assessing and managing concessional loans at the NSW Rural Assistance Authority and QRIDA.

Passionate about keeping regional areas strong and sustainable, Frances is keen to assist primary producers improve their business planning skills by helping them put thought to paper or fine tune an existing business plan.

Frances believes it’s beneficial for primary producers to be ahead of the curve by having a comprehensive business plan available for stakeholders such as bankers, funding/grant bodies or suppliers. It could be that all important point of difference in achieving positive outcomes.

Frances holds a Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling). She works with other Farm Business Planning Specialists located throughout Southern Queensland.
